The HP Jornada 720/728 supports one PCMCIA card in the left card slot, and a CompactFlash (CF) card in the card slot on the bottom. Both cards can be inserted at the same time, however please note that the CF slot only works with type 1 devices and can't be used for I/O, network or similar cards.

IBM Microdrive

The IBM Microdrives has been tested to work in the PCMCIA card slot of the Jornada, but power consumption is quite high. We would not recommend to leave a Microdrive in the Jornada for extended periods of time. Please note that you need to use the PCMCIA adapter which comes with the Microdrive as the device won't fit into the CF slot.
