Cables and Connectivity

Currently we offer two cables to connect the Sharp Zaurus to the outside world. The USB version is used to connect the Sharp to any desktop computer for synchronization and file transfer, as a replacement for the bulhy Sharp cradle. The serial version on the other hand is used to connect the Sharp to other serial devices, like modems, card readers, terminals, computers, etc.

Both cables have in common that the Sharp connector is small enough to not cover the AC adapter socket nor the keyboard, so you can charge and type while the Zaurus is connected.

The connector which is used for our cables is also available separately, for the do-it-yourself user or for building special-purpose cables.
